The Story

Richard Prince and Los Angeles–based designer Darren Romanelli collaborated on a special line of clothing and furniture for Prince’s Katz + Dogg brand. Using his collection of vintage denim, textiles, and sportswear sourced from local flea markets and thrift stores, Romanelli created one-of-a-kind pieces with a “hippie/stoner-inspired aesthetic” that resonates with Katz + Dogg’s line of smoking products.

This vintage Champion hooded sweatshirt, originally created for a wrestling team, has been transformed with several patches on the right sleeve and front and screenprinted characters from Prince’s Hippie Drawings on the back, bringing together Prince and Romanelli’s shared interest in American culture and vernaculars.
